Lee Owen Stone Cooperative Preschool provides an inclusive and welcoming environment for children ages 3-5 to begin their journey into early education through play and exploration.  As a cooperative preschool we have a high level of parent involvement in the classroom and in the day-to-day operations of the school.  This structure allows us to maintain affordable tuition and scholarships and creates a unique community in which we can participate in our children’s education, while enjoying each other’s support and friendship.    

Lee Owen Stone was founded in 1965, making it one of the oldest cooperative preschools in Oregon.  While the school has been located in several different North and Northeast Portland locations during our long history, our current home is in the Grant Park Baptist Church on the corner of NE 34th and NE Knott.  This is a wonderful site located close to Grant Park and the kids love it here!

Lee Owen Stone’s Third annual Trike-a-thon for Cystic Fibrosis is drawing near! It will be held at the school in the church basement, on Saturday May 16 from 10am-12pm. Please check out our Donation Page.
